2026 Pre Race Update

10/15/26: Thank you for your registration for the first Run the Den trail races at Devil’s Den State Park.

Race day is Saturday, November 14, 2026. Start time is 7:30am

Parking at the park will be tight. We are working on a master plan with the park to squeeze more people than usual into the area around the start/finish area at Lee Creek pavilion. We will be posting more details about parking soon. For now, here are 3 main points to keep in mind. First, we encourage you to carpool as much as possible. Second, plan to arrive early. Parking that many vehicles will require some time. Finally, please do not park for the race at the Visitors Center, at any campground or the Yellow Rock trail head. We want to reserve those for park guests on the day of the race.

There will be a total of 14 bathrooms at the start/finish area. Please wash your hands. There are no bathrooms on the courses. Be prepared.
Do not expect cell signal in the park.
We are finalizing aid station locations. We will post details when ready.
Course maps, elevation profiles and .gpx files have been posted to the website.
There will be a pre race briefing at 7:15am near the start line.
All courses will be clearly marked with ribbons and arrows. Each distance will have a color to follow. It is your responsibility to know your course.
We love dogs but ask that your 4 legged friends do not join you on the course.
Catfish John’s will be providing catfish, chicken and hush puppies at the finish line.
This is a cupless race to reduce the amount of trash we produce. Our aid stations will not have cups. You need to bring your own cup/bottle for drinks.
Aid stations will have the typical selections of sweet/salty snacks, Gatorade, water, fruit, cookies, chips and whatever else the volunteers whip up for you. If you have specific dietary needs, please be prepared.
Aid station locations: (your mileage may vary)
The 6 mile course will have a full aid station at mile 4.2.
The 13 mile course will have full aid stations at miles 5.6 and 11.2.
The marathon will have full aid stations at miles 5.6, 11.2, 15.4 and 20.5. In addition, there will be a light aid station at mile 24.0.
Packet pick up is on Friday, November 13 at Rush Running Co in Bentonville from 11aam to 6pm. You may pick up for others if needed. Late pick up is Saturday from 6:30am-7:00am only. We are working on an option to pick up at our Fayetteville location earlier that week. Stay tuned for details.

Runner safety, please use caution at all road crossings.
If you drop out, please notify us so we know you aren’t lost in the woods.
Race proceeds will benefit the Friends of Devil’s Den in their mission to support the park.
Bib swaps are an option if you are registered but unable to join us on race day. Please reach out to us if you need help with that. Reminder that this event does not offer refunds.
The cutoff for all distances is 9 hours.

Results will be posted on the Race Wizard with links shared on our website and social once finalized.
Photos will be available for free. We will share a link once they are ready after the race. All we ever ask is that you give credit to the photographer if you share on a social platform.

More updates and reminders to come…

10/5/26: Registration for Run the Den is now closed. Thank you for the amazing support! Available space for parking was the deciding factor. We are erring on the side of caution in an effort to not create additional challenges on race day. There will not be a waitlist and no late registrations will be accepted. It’s time to move full steam ahead with race day prep. Get ready for lots of info.

10/2/26: Happy Friday, fam! Finally some good autumn-ish weather has arrived. Before we hit full send on the weekend, I wanted to let you know that we do have a hard cap on this race. We do not want to be in a position of exceeding available space for parking at Devil's Den. That said, we are at 93% of our maximum capacity. Once we are full, that's it. We will not do a wait list and we will not accept late registrations. If you or a friend is on the fence, it's time to get off, sign up and come have fun with us in the Den .
