The 2026 Run the Den courses will showcase some of the very best trail running that Devil's Den State Park has to offer.
The 6-mile and 13-mile courses take place entirely on the award-winning Monument Trails, known for their flowing singletrack, scenic bluff lines, creek crossings, and rolling Ozark terrain. Compared to many NWA trail systems, these trails are smoother and more runnable, making them a great choice for first-time trail runners while still being plenty of fun for experienced runners looking to race fast.
The 26-mile marathon begins on the Monument Trails before transitioning onto the historic Butterfield Trail. The Butterfield is classic Ozark singletrack featuring longer climbs, steeper descents, rocky technical sections, and a more rugged backcountry feel. If you're looking for a true trail marathon challenge, this course delivers.
No matter which distance you choose, expect well-marked courses, beautiful scenery, stocked aid stations, and an unforgettable day on some of Arkansas' most iconic trails.
